An EPIC & clammy adventure begins this year with the first annual Peterborough Caesar Festival, featuring over 10 glorious restaurants, pubs and cafes- all featuring their own unique and savoury homage to the classic savoury cocktail in hopes of rising to the top of the competition.
From July 13th until the 31st, a variety of signature caesar cocktails will be featured on local menus throughout the downtown Peterborough culinary scene just in time for summer patio season. Some locations have even gone so far as to stray from cocktail-territory to make an exclusive dish that utilizes caesar-inspired flavours. With a variety of versions available- foodies and cocktail lovers alike will be able to explore a world of innovative and traditional caesar-inspired menu exclusives as well as vote for their favourite one online at ptbocaesarfest.com

Festival goers are encouraged to plan their clammy adventure with the festival’s online Caesar Map . The Caesar Map will help participants scout out their favourite spots for dine-in or takeout over the course of the month-long Peterborough Caesar Festival. As a self-guided festival, community members can participate however they like, from hosting a dish-crawl with friends to dining solo- the possibilities for local caesar adventures are endless.
During the Peterborough Caesar Festival, restaurants will be competing for local votes to claim the title of Caesar champion. Festival goers will be able to vote online for their favorite rendition all month long- and by the end of July only one will reign supreme.
The Winning restaurant will receive a hand-crafted trophy and of course the adoration of their patrons and competitors.

Y-Drive Peterborough and Y-Drive Eats have sponsored this event and will be offering free delivery and 50% off rides to Caesar Fest participating locations. Full details of the sponsorship and how you can take advantage can be found on the Caesar Fest website (ptbocaesarfest.com).
On top of all the festival’s clammy shenanigans, the Peterborough DBIA has also contracted a local performance artist to animate the program. People can look out for Julia Caes-Her “Rome-ing” around downtown promoting Caesar Fest in real time, toasting the competition and partaking of the spoils.
