This interactive one-hour demonstration is the perfect way to kick off your weekend and learn about the fascinating world of raptors. The Eyrie is a birds of prey centre currently focused on educational outreach, with the mission of instilling a sense of respect, wonder, and knowledge about these magnificent birds. The husband-and-wife team places the welfare of their animals as their first and foremost priority in everything they do.

Matthew achieved his lifelong dream of becoming a falconer over a decade ago, learning to train raptors while studying Environmental Studies at Trent University. Since then, he has worked at Ireland’s premier falconry center and traveled across Canada educating thousands about birds of prey. Kristin, who holds a degree from Fanshawe College’s Eco-Tourism program, honed her hands-on raptor training skills while traveling across Western Canada. Together, they share an incredible passion for equipping the public with reliable field knowledge and inspiring others to experience the natural world first-hand.
